Welcome to the Department of Prosthodontics PGIDS, Rohtak. Prosthodontics Department is a blend of fine art, treatment by rehabilitation, which in turn provides a psychological, social and procedural satisfaction to the patient. Department is meticulously working on rehabilitations of loss of oral tissue and maintaining the harmony with esthetics in more efficient and skillful manner to ensure a focused, accurate and competent treatment. Moreover, the department comprises young, energetic, intellectual, focused faculty members and technicians who are working as a team to orient themselves for the patient needs, priority, and satisfaction. Very keen to help each other for patient satisfaction and for growing environment of department. Working for research, new development of technique for treatment of patient.same time exploring their skills to national and international journals.

OVERVIEW OF THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Prosthodontics, Rohtak, addresses the diagnosis, treatment planning and rehabilitation of dental problems, usually involving tooth loss or severe tooth damage, defects of maxillofacial region and the maintenance of prostheses. The Department offers exceptional academic exposure and experience to meet the changing needs of a diverse patient population, enhancing knowledge and skills in the area of Prosthodontics and implant dentistry. The faculties are fully committed to excellence in teaching and provide expert clinical care.

Services

The Department is currently conducting graduate and post graduate course in Dentistry and Diploma course in Dental Mechanics. In addition, Health University recognized Fellowship in Oral and Maxillofacial Implantology and Fellowship in Maxillofacial Prosthetic Rehabilitation are being offered. Various treatments provided in the Department of Prosthodontics include restoring and replacing lost or severely damaged teeth, Restoring the aesthetic and function of lost teeth, Providing full mouth rehabilitation or full mouth reconstruction, Management of congenital and acquired maxillofacial defects with emphasis on multidisciplinary management of patient problems, Dental implant surgery and implant prosthetics, Splints and stents to address diverse oro-facial biomechanical problems, excellent interdisciplinary approach for integrated patient care.

Teaching

The Department of Prosthodontics is having separate undergraduate, post-graduate clinical and laboratory sections. The department is fully equipped to deal with basic as well as advanced treatment modalities in prosthodontics. It is providing special care for geriatric patients including complete dentures. Maxillofacial surgical support is offered through splints as a team member in comprehensive treatment of facial region.

Special Interests

Prosthodontics cases in the advanced Prosthodontics course and clinics. All the courses are aim at teaching latest techniques in Prosthodontics with rationalized treatment planning. The functioning in the department is compliant with all the standard safety protocols for covid-19 to prevent considerable risk of cross infection.
